HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY GRAYSON!

WHAT GRAYSON LOVES:
  • Slides, "BIG slides"
  • Apple juice (Probably downs 32 oz a day. Don't worry he gets several ounces of water and milk in there too. I think he drinks more than Hank.)
  • Trains or "Choo Choo's"
  • His froggy blanket and his train blanket
  • The zoo
  • Froggys, lizards "wutus", snakes "ssss"
  • His dinosaurs or "rawrs"
  • Big Trucks (He points every one out as we drive.)
  • His baby brother (Hundreds of kisses a day and a sweet high-pitched voice when he talks to him.)
  • Gaige (The first person he ever spontaneously said, "I love you" to.)
  • When everyone sings Happy Birthday to him!

WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT GRAY:

  • His infectious laughter
  • How sweet he is to his family and friends
  • What a good, obedient boy he is
  • How much he loves saying prayers (He keeps his arms folded and eyes closed and after every prayer he HAS to tell us that he closed his eyes.)
  • How he loves spending time with Mommy & Daddy (whenever he wants us to join him at whatever he is doing he says, "sit down, mama" or "sit down, dada" and taps his little hand where he wants us to sit.)
Grayson's 2nd Birthday party was so much fun! THANK YOU to all our family who traveled from far away to be here with us. We love you all! My AMAZING mom, of course came and helped me SO much! She made the most beautiful Choo Choo cake that Grayson LOVED!! He couldn't keep his hands off it. He talked about it all day and when it came time for the party he enjoyed it so much. I caught him red handed. He was standing all alone at the cake table picking the skittles off the cake. When I asked him what he was doing, he answered, "eat candy". He's a kid, what else would he be doing? When you're a kid isn't life ALL about "eat candy"?!

After the party we talked about all that happened and asked him what he liked. We had to ask him about certain things to get him going. We asked if he liked the Choo Choo cake, of course he did. "Eat candy" was his response to that. Once we gave him a few ideas, he came up with his own idea. He started bobbing his head and singing, "happy, you" and pointing to himself. For the rest of the night he would spontaneously start singing to himself. When I put him to bed that night I heard him singing himself to sleep with that same song. The next day he wanted us to sing it to him again. Every time we sang to him he got the biggest smile on his face and twinkle in his eyes. Monday was his real birthday so we sang happy birthday to him all day long. You would've thought we gave him bags and bags of candy. He was the happiest boy! I love that it's the simple things that make kids so happy. I need to be more like that!

Grayson and I at his "Choo Choo pa-eee".The blue mouth and uncut cake give you away baby!

Gray and two of his favorite things...his Dada and a SUCKER! He loves his dad so much and wants to be just like him. The other day Hank grew his hair out for a few days. When he finally shaved it off Grayson came up to me and patted his own head and said, "Mama, hair off".

The happiest birthday boy!

Table centerpieces that Mer and Everett helped make. Couldn't have done it all without them!

Hank and I both agree that these ADORABLE cookies were quite the splurge, but they were DELICIOUS and so adorable!! The girl who does them is amazing!

The main event seemed to be this little Choo Choo Train Mer and I made. I had the idea but had NO idea how to execute it. Mer busted this out in no time at all. Thanks aunt Mer, you da bomb!

Gray and Gaige enjoying the awesome Choo Choo train!

What a great day...Family, Friends, Slides, Swings, Choo Choo's, Cake, Candy, Cookies!!
How ever will we top this?

My sweet sister, Vanessa holding Preston. She is such an AMAZING sis and aunt!!

Aunt Lisa holding Preston while she checked the kids in at the "Chugga Chugga Check-In". This is where they got their goody bags with train whistles and candy! My kids are so lucky...they have aunts that love them like crazy. Lisa has always had a special place in her heart for Gray!

Trying to get a picture of all the sugar overdosed kids while the sun burned their eyes was quite the task. This is as good as it gets and this is with the help of several adults. Oh well!

BUSTED!! It's your party, have at it Birthday Boy!

What a great cake! Thanks Mom!!

Gray doesn't get in to tearing the wrapping paper off, but he LOVED his gifts. He got a fish tank with 2 fish and 2 snails, then 2 dwarf frogs were later added (thanks Walls!), an awesome Castle with Dragons and lots of "dies" (guys), a tee-ball set, his favorite Lightening McQueen car, and last but certainly NOT least, a Thomas the Tank Engine remote control train!!

Apparently Grayson's cousin, Max, also liked his gifts. When we were done opening presents he started dragging the gifts off to his car. We would take one gift away from him and he would go grab a different one.

My Mom holding Preston. It sounds cliche, but she IS my Hero.
If I can someday be half the woman she is, I will consider my life a success!!!!!

Don't worry Pres, you're birthday will be here soon! We're so glad you're part of our family!
